The
cross staff was developed by Levi ben Gersohn
around 1342. It was used by early explorers,
and guided Columbus to the New World and the
Pilgrims on the Mayflower to religious freedom.
These early pioneers probably noticed an interesting
aspect of this navigational tool-users looked
through a cross to chart their course toward
their destinations.
We at CrossStaff Publishers believe that it
is through the cross of Jesus Christ that life's
answers are found. It is our "moral compass."
Just as ancient mariners had little room for
excess baggage, we believe that readers want
books that touch their hearts and deal with
life's core issues. For without that cross,
we would be adrift in the stormy sea of life.
With it, we can navigate our way home to our
Lord and Savior.
It is our desire to publish books that touch
lives all over the world. We know that we cannot
make our vision a reality without partnering
with people from all corners of the earth. We
do not take for granted these relationships
that we have and we pray for their provision
and protection. We understand that without them
we would be adrift.
